There are three medical options for you to select from and they are referred to as:

ü        PPO1,

ü        PPO2 and,

ü        PPO HDHP - a PPO plan that qualifies as a High Deductible Health Plan with a Health Savings Account (HSA) feature. 

All three plans are administered by Highmark BlueCross BlueShield and all three plans include a vision benefits which is administered by VSP. 

ü        The prescription drug plan for the PPO1 and PPO2 is administered by MedcoHealth.  If you enroll in one of these plans, you will receive two separate I.D. cards – one for the medical plan from Highmark and one for the prescription drug benefits from MedcoHealth. 

ü        If you enroll in the PPO HDHP plan, you will receive one I.D. card from Highmark – this card will be used when you access both your medical and prescription drug benefits.

ü        Website – http://www.highmarkbcbs.com/ provides you with access to information 24 hours per day.  In addition to network provider information, the website is an excellent resource for information related to the plan design; claim status; ordering I.D. cards and a host of other things.   

ü        Prescription drug benefits –

o        The prescription drug benefits for the PPO1 and PPO2 are the same for both plans and are administered by Medcohealth.  Details about this plan are included under the “RX” tab of this website.

o        The prescription drug benefits for the HDHP plan are covered as any other medical expense (deductible and coinsurance applies) - there is no separate prescription drug benefit for the HDHP plan.   

ü        Vision coverage – the benefits for the vision program are the same for all three plans.  Details regarding this program are located under the Vision tab of this website.
